2011 Powgnar Classic is a success!!
It was a humid morning on the snow free slopes of Mt. Hood Skibowl, as the players gathered to sign in and get their swag! A full card of 60 disc golfers set off up the chairlift of Lower Bowl to do battle on the fun seasonal course personally deemed one of the top scenic and challenging courses in area. As the anticipation built, shredders slashed some smooth drives down the hill for the chains.
A few exhausted faces and a lot of smiles accompanied some eager disc golfers as they cruised down the hill. A few lost discs, beers, and hours later everyone was ready for the after party! A full 18 holes in the first round followed by a top 9 shootout and a fun ride on the alpine slide preceded a fun raffle rally! CTP give-aways! And way too much fun for a solid weekend in the hills!
As the day grew older the heat poured on and so did some mosquitos! HAHAHA! I guess next time at this location we'll have to have a few extra bug spray bottles for our guest, huh???
We look forward to doing it again with some well noted improvements! Thanks to Skibowl for their support!
